What Does A Face Serum Do?
Face serums are a lightweight treatment that penetrate deeper than a regular moisturizer to deliver active ingredients into your skin. Using a Serum regularly can give your skin a firmer, smoother texture, make pores appear smaller and increase moisture levels. You should always apply a Serum directly to your skin after cleansing or toning and before your Moisturizer and Sunscreen. They absorb quickly, and can be used both morning and night.
Do I need to use both a Serum & a Moisturizer?
Do I need to use both a Serum & a Moisturizer?
Moisturizers are thicker & creamier than Serums. They're meant to hydrate the skin and prevent water loss.
There are a couple key differences between a Serum & a Moisturizer.
1) Serums & Moisturizers reach different layers of your skin. Serum can penetrate through your skin to find the water based layers of your skin that are just like it. Moisturizers tend to stick in the top layers of your skin.
2) Serums mostly provide treatment whereas a Moisturizer mostly provide conditioning.
